The Columbia River Gorge is famous for it's waterfalls. Their magnifience is breath-taking. Here are just a few of them.

 

Horsetail falls is a favorite of many a visitor to the Columbia River Gorge. After seeing this one once, it will stick in your mind forever. It is pretty much the epitome of the Horsetail form.

* Height - 178 feet
* Width - 15 feet

Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the entire nation. The water of the Falls drops 620 feet from its origin on Larch Mountain. Unusually cold weather can turns this plummeting falls into a frozen icesicle, with a few drops falling from the bottom.

Latourell Falls plunges straight down into a small pool. The paved trail allows you close enough to feel the spray from the bottom of the falls.

* Height - 249 feet
* Width - 20 feet

Wahkeena Creek crashes from step to step down through a moss covered crack in the cliff in a final furious plunge before joining the Columbia downstream. The Yakama Tribe word "wahkeena" means "most beautiful.

* Height - 242 feet
