How
to Set up Files & Message Filters in Outlook 2000
1. Open Outlook;
navigate to your Inbox

2. Click on
the arrow below Inbox and then click on the pushpin; this will allow
the file view to remain open

3. To begin
creating your folders; highlight Inbox; right click and select "new
folder"

4. Type in the
name of your folder; be sure that Inbox is selected; click on OK

5. "Add
shortcut to Outlook Bar?"; select "yes"

6. After all
your files are created, you are now ready to establish your rules.
From the Tools menu, select "Rules Wizard"

7. Select "Create
a Rule" to move messages "sent to" [now type in the
email address you are filtering]
into [select the folder where you messages moved to]; click create.
Repeat this task until all messages rules have been established
for the new folders
note: you can also use this wizard to filter "from"
messages too.

8. Select a
folder name; then right click and select add to Outlook Bar.
This will allow you to view your folder easily and see when new
messages have arrived.
