HOW TO CHECK YOUR OUTLOOK EXPRESS SETTINGS
This tutorial uses Outlook Express
for checking settings in order to view attachments and graphics.
Open Outlook Express (OE) and navigate to Tools,
Options
Once in Options; go to Security; be sure that "do
not allow attachments to be saved..." is UNCHECKED
Then go to the Send tab and make sure your "Mail
Sending Format" has HTML selected;
then click on "HTML Settings"
Make sure that "Send Pictures with Messages"
is selected; click OK
Click OK until you have returned to your regular
Outlook Screen.
At this point close out your Outlook program and reopen it; this
will help your new settings take effect.
You now should be able to see all attachments sent to you.
(FYI - most
MS Word attachments ask to be saved to your computer; then you will
need to open MS Word to view them)
